This past week I have been spending time with friends in the Santa Cruz area of California. They live in a beautiful forested area with many redwoods. I decided to bring my camera to see what I could capture “for a walk in the woods”. It was a great opportunity for me to get more familiar with my new camera and put the 50mm 1.4 lens to work. Using a fixed focal lens is a great way to work on composition. If you are looking for a fun project just bring your camera and see what catches your eye when you walk through the woods. It is amazing how much life there is that we walk right by, but when you take the time to look around a snap a few pictures you will be amazed on what you will find!
Here are a few pictures from my walk in the woods. Enjoy!
